Last Spring we had the opportunity to design two dinner parties for one of our fabulous corporate clients — and what fantastic dinner parties they were. Both events were held at the always beautiful DeLille Cellars and each utilized the space in a slightly different way.
The first event, held in cold and rainy March, featured an enclosed tent adjacent to the main dining room that we decked out with cozy seating areas, glowing chandeliers, and draped greenery. The 60 guests were treated to whiskey tasting and hors d’oeuvres in the tent before being ushered into the candlelit dining room for dinner. At dinner, two long kings tables set an elegant tone and ombre floral arrangements lined the long tables. And, of course, a roaring fire in the huge stone fireplace chased away any last spring chill.
The second event was a more intimate affair held in June for 16 guests. This time the dining room at DeLille Cellars was transformed into a bright spring paradise, with greenery hanging form the chandeliers and separate spaces for lounging, mingling, and dining. Bright blue linens and warm yellow and orange floral brought late spring warmth to the room, while an abundance of candlelight softened the atmosphere as dusk fell and the guests lingered at dinner.
