Maya and Scott’s Elegant Wedding at Canvas Seattle

Maya and Scott’s Canvas Event Space wedding was a sophisticated affair: an all white, super chic celebration for close friends and family. The feel was industrial, modern, yet so romantic!

A Modern Ceremony in All White

From the clear lucite ghost chairs and lucite wedding arch dripping with crystal strands and white orchids, to the ethereal full room draping glowing in the soft light, to the hundreds of candles placed around the room, this wedding oozed glamor and understated elegance.

A Glamorous and Elegant Reception

This monochromatic wedding was all about repeated elements and textures used in creative ways. Clean glass and lucite were used in the chairs, candles, arch, crystal strands, and stemware. Light bounced off of the mirrored table tops and assorted mirrored stemmed and cubed vases used in the centerpieces. The fabulous tulle of Maya’s wedding dress was repeated in tulle overlays placed over the white table linens. Even the orchid strands used in the ceremony arch were echoed in the delicate orchids dangling from the chandeliers overhead. All of these elements worked together seamlessly to create an overall effect of weightless, effortless perfection.

The room literally glowed and twinkled in the candlelight bouncing off of the clear glass and mirrored surfaces used throughout the decor. I mean, just look at that mirror-topped cake table twinkling with candlelight – how gorgeous!

Mallory and Patrick’s Love for Greenery at their Sodo Park Wedding

Mallory and Patrick’s wedding at Herban Feast’s SoDo Park was as soft and romantic and gardeny as they get! The bride loves greenery so we brought the garden indoors by installing greenery and climbing vines throughout the event space.

And did you see Mallory’s bouquet? Isn’t it quite the showstopper? We love when brides let us create an oversized bouquets, and Mallory’s sure was gorgeous.

A Green Wedding Ceremony

For their ceremony we created a lush, green environment by installing smilax all across the ceiling. The vines also climbed up the antique doors that served as a romantic backdrop for the ceremony.  More greenery graced the aisle, interspersed with hurricane candles.  Fresh summer blooms were incorporated everywhere: cafe au lait dahlias, fairy roses, sweet scabiosa, local snapdragons, false spirea, mixed with hosta leaves, raspberry foliage, and olive.

A Wedding Reception Filled with Greenery

For Mallory and Patrick’s dinner reception we designed centerpieces of various sizes and styles. We designed a mix of lush garden arrangements in gold compote vases, tall sprays of greenery and blooms on top of gold stands, and groupings of gold candles and buddy vases. They sure “popped” atop peacock blue velvet linens.  Swoon!

A Hyatt Regency Lake Washington Wedding: Neetha and Binni

Neetha and Binni’s August wedding was a grand affair in white and pale pink.  The wedding reception at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington was one of our team’s favorites!  But first, the couple’s elegant ceremony in Seattle’s Plymouth Congregational Church featured a towering white arch dripping in orchids and an aisle carpeted in white rose petals.  For the church ceremony, Neetha chose to wear an elegant white lace wedding dress and carried a gorgeous bouquet of peonies and garden roses.

A Fabulous Wedding Reception at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington

At the reception, a 12 foot ceiling installation of white orchids and dangling crystal strands wowed the guests as they entered the ballroom at the new Hyatt Regency Lake Washington.  A mix of pale pink linens covered the assorted rectangular and round tables throughout the room, and each was graced with a lush floral arrangement of hydrangea, roses, dahlias, and stock accented by phaelenopsis orchids and delicate eucalyptus foliage. Gold accents were used throughout the room: in the gold rimmed chargers, flatware, gold rimmed stemware, and mercury glass votives on each tabletop, to the gold chameleon chairs, bar and dessert displays, and even the gold confetti released over the revelers on the dance floor late in the night. What a beautiful event – expertly coordinated by the lovely Alex with Taylor’d Events Group.  Congratulations Neetha and Binni!

Kerry and Joe’s Elegant White and Green Wedding

Kerry and Joe’s special day is a perfect example of just how elegant a white and green wedding can be. The church and reception space were decked in white flowers mixed with lush garden greenery, and was, oh, so pretty!

White and Green Wedding Flowers

Kerry and Joe chose a clean white and green color palette for their elegant wedding. Kerry wanted us to design a lush cascading bouquet of white garden roses, peonies, gardenia, stephanotis, and orchids accented by delicate iron vine.  Such a pretty mix!

A Wedding Ceremony Decked in Flowers

Blooming trees and understated tall floral arrangements graced the front altar for the traditional Catholic ceremony, while trailing greenery and dendrobium orchids adorned each pew.

An Outdoor Cocktail Reception in Style

Arriving at the Club, guests enjoyed an outdoor cocktail hour in the warm afternoon sun: an eclectic mix of white lounge furniture was spread across the lawn. Potted orchids decorated the bars, and small floral arrangements adorned each table.

In front of the ballroom, the modern, clear lucite seating chart was attached to a tall boxwood greenery wall, which we decorated with stems of white phaleanopsis orchids.

A Reception of Modern Elegance

Then guests were invited to the fully draped ballroom for dinner and dancing.  A mixed floor plan of round and long dinner tables created interest: covered in various light grey specialty linens and paired with clear lucite ghost chairs this reception was an uber-elegant affair with a modern touch. We created table designs of various styles and shapes: white phalaenopsis and dendrobium orchids accented the low white and dark green floral centerpieces. And crystal candlesticks and silver vases helped to create luxurious layers of texture across each table.

The Decorated Stage for the Live Band – A Fun Focal Point

We placed a clean boxwood greenery backdrop behind the band which featured the bride and groom’s own personalized neon sign! And a long lush floral planter blooming with white hydrangea in front of the stage created the perfect setting to dance the night away.

Daniela and Michael’s Greenery Wedding at the Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland

Daniela and Michael’s sweet greenery summer wedding at the Woodmark Hotel and Still Spa last August was cool and breezy, and oh-so chic.  With a mostly neutral color palette we used lots of smilax greenery vines and incorporated floral in pops of pink, blue, and creams. We loved Daniela and Michael from the start: a beautiful couple inside and out. And working with them on this wedding was truly fun.

Daniela had her heart set on a non-traditional bouquet: a giant grey succulent took center stage in this asymmetrical stunner, accompanied by pale blush spray roses, wispy grasses, nigella pods, and eucalyptus.

The Ceremony at The Woodmark Hotel Waterfront

For the lakeside ceremony, the tent was hung with trailing smilax vines, and an arch featuring blush and cream roses and dahlias framed the happy couple.  More lush greenery graced the aisle, and rose and eucalyptus posies adorned the chairs. The stunning focal point: we hung lots and lots more greenery vines from the tent ceiling, the tent poles, and the chandeliers. Such a pretty look!

A Reception Filled with Greenery

At dinner, the blush draped dining tables held an assortment of gold candlesticks, bud vases, greenery runners, and succulents in tiny gold glass terrariums.  And be sure to look at the cutest little crocheted birdies you ever did see on top of that cake!

Melissa and Andy Altig’s Elegant Wedding at their Family’s Private Estate

Mama mia, was this a gorgeous wedding!  Last August, the Flora Nova team had the privilege of working with the ever-fabulous Katy of Vows Wedding and Event Planning to design this fairytale white wedding on the groom’s family’s private estate for 300 guests.  This was a family affair on a grand scale with the ceremony at the family church followed by the reception in a grand tent at their family farm in Kirkland.

We designed all floral accents in an overall classic, neutral color palette in white and cream with lush greenery accents. The bouquets featured mostly white roses in various styles and sizes: garden roses, garden spray roses, and sweet heart roses.

An Elegant Church Ceremony in Green and White

For the ceremony at their family church in Kirkland we designed grand greenery floral walls flanking the grand altar area on both sides and in the front. The aisle was covered in a custom aisle carpet, then covered in thousands of rose petals. Each pew was dripping with greenery vines and white rose blooms.

And Now To The Elegant Private Estate Wedding Reception

After an intimate ceremony at the family’s Catholic parish, the guests heads back to the family manse for cocktails by the pool. Check out those floating lily pads in the turquoise water!

After cocktails, the lucky guests strolled through the gardens down to a custom-built tent on the back lawn (constructed by the amazing team at Cort Party Rental) for dinner and dancing.  This family has a love affair with the gardenia and just had to have them, so we obliged:  500 fresh cut gardenias were flown in for the occasion.  As you can imagine, the scent when guests walked into the tent was heavenly! Each place setting was graced with a stemmed gardenia, and more gardenias were tucked into the abundant floral arrangements that lined the long dinner tables. For centerpieces we designed a mix of elevated and low arrangements, each stuffed with garden roses, fairy roses, dahlias, vintage hydrangea, and dripping with a mix of garden greenery.

As the evening wore on, Andy, Melissa, and their attendants had the perfect view of the festivities from their 32′ head table loaded with flowers and fully framed by a lush floral backdrop.  Dense greenery swags graced the ceiling and called attention to the drool-worthy (and enormous!) crystal chandeliers.  Tall taper candles and glittering gold mercury glass votives created a romantic glow as the sun set, and the revelers danced long into the night.  What a perfect day!
