A Seattle Aquarium Wedding

In today’s blog post we are changing things up a little. We are not featuring a recent wedding – no, we are featuring this beautiful, classic Seattle Aquarium wedding from 10 years ago. This is the wedding of Elena and John, who tied the knot at this Seattle landmark location in October of 2013. And I can’t believe it’s been 10 years already! Fashions and trends have changed a lot in those 10 and some elements of this wedding might be a little dated, but I am still in love with the overall timeless and classy feel of this wedding.

For the ceremony backdrop we designed huge trees that were covered in white phaleanopsis and dendrobium orchids and and then adorned with long crystal strands. And the ceremony aisle was lined with tall floating candles and white rose petals. Then smaller orchid trees decorated the ceremony aisle entrance.

Their ceremony took place right in front of the large fish tank. And this Seattle Aquarium wedding was a feast for the eyes: who doesn’t want to treat their guests with views of a lively ocean tank during their ceremony?

The black and white wedding reception featured tall centerpieces of trailing white orchids, lots of romantic candle light, black Chivari chairs and white linens, and ice bar, and more. And beaded glass charger plates, floating candles, and fun napkin details added to the romantic atmosphere. I have so many fond memories of this wedding. Happy Anniversary, E&J!!
