An Orange Summer Wedding

An Orange Summer Wedding: Lauren and Dan at Chihuly Garden and Glass

Lauren and Dan’s August wedding was a riot of summer color. We mixed together all shades of orange – from soft apricot to fiery tangerine to dark burnt orange – with pale and bright yellows, bright green, and touches of sage blue-green. Lauren’s bouquet was a classic rounded bouquet filled with textural flowers and greenery: creamy spray roses, apricot colored garden roses, showy orange dahlias, dainty butter yellow scabiosa, and cheerful craspedia were mixed with bright green raspberry foliage and sage green eucalyptus and succulents.

A Summer Wedding Reception in Orange and Yellow

After their ceremony at St Ignatius Chapel, Lauren, Dan, and all of their family and friends celebrated together in the gorgeous Glasshouse at Chihuly Garden and Glass. The clean glass, white metal arches, and fiery orange blown glass installation served as the inspiration for the reception decor. Crisp white linens were laid on a mix of round and rectangular tables and a variety of centerpiece styles were used throughout the room for interest. Most certainly the showpiece of the room, the white wedding cake featured a miniature bride and groom battling a large orange dragon (beautifully created by Baked Custom Cakes!).
